Choose a Quality Filter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Your first step is to choose an air filter wisely. There\u2019s a delicate line between choosing a strong filter that cleans your air while also allowing airflow through so your unit isn\u2019t straining to bring in air. Air filters have MERV (minimum efficiency reporting value) ratings that estimate the types of particles filtered out of the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend a rating that is an eight at a minimum when it comes to improving indoor air quality. But don\u2019t select a filter that\u2019s higher than a 13 on the MERV scale.
